Cashflow statement is another crucial report for company's management to make the business decision, apart from Balance Sheet and Income (P&L) statement.
As the name suggested, cashflow statement tells you the cash flow in and out of the company in a specific period of time
Odoo allow Cashflow Statement Report to be configured based on Direct Cashflow method for Operating activities. There is no standard Cashflow Statement Report in Odoo CE, but you can get paid module such as this.
There are 3 categories of Cashflow Report, as following:
1. Operating Activities
Cash received and paid, during day-to-day operation activities, other activities that are not investing or financing.
How it is done in Odoo
In the Chart of Account, tag any account that belong to Account type below:
Account Receivable
Account Payable
Prepayment
Depreciation
Current Asset
Current Liabilities
Bank and Cash
Expenses
2. Investment Activities
Any cash flows from the acquisition and disposal of long-term assets and other investments not included in cash equivalents.
How it is done in Odoo
In the Chart of Account, tag any account that belong to Account type below:
Fixed Asset
Non-Current Asset
3. Financial Activities
Any cash flows that result in changes in the size and composition of the contributed equity capital or borrowings of the entity (i.e., bonds, stock, dividends)
